We had a false alarm for a ballistic nuclear missile attack this morning. Who needs coffee? Looking at 2018 – Part 1 Yes, that was our first hour, and what an hour it was. KAOI station owner John even chimed in on how these alerts are supposed to work! We also had our usual news and a quick intro to our 2018 predictions!

We go over the now notorious, infamous, and slightly overblown CPU exploits called Meltdown and Specter affecting ALL modern computer processors. Net Neutrality, the FCC, and More! – Part 1 December 14th is a big day. Why? Its not Festivus (that’s on December 23rd). Its not Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, either. Its when the the FCC plans to attempt to repeal Net Neutrality (a subject we’ve talked about a lot!) despite what the public thinks or says. Do we get into it? Oh yes, we get into it and more. Do you want to get involved and help stop this? While the FCC says they’re going for it, we still have to try and stop them. https://www.battleforthenet.com/ https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2017/11/today-and-every-day-we-fight-defend-open-internet https://www.freepress.net/blog/2017/04/25/net-neutrality-violations-brief-history
Net Neutrality, the FCC, and Getting Involved – Part 2 Who does the FCC work for? Is it for the benefit of the American public, large and small? Or a handful of companies who consider crony capitalism a legitimate business model, never mind the cost to the rest of the country and economy? Judging by their actions, the FCC’s answer is the wrong one. Chairman Ajit Pai wants to kill Net Neutrality, get rid of Lifeline service, and much, much more. And who does this benefit? Not you.
